Buccaneer beat poetry composed and recorded in Berkeley in early 2007. I believe it was the second composition I ever did.
Lyrics:
I ain’t never been a sailor
But I’ve been at sea my whole life
I ain’t never been a singer
But I’ll sing you a song or two
Shipwrecked hearts, stranded love
Press-ganged into service
Abandon ship, weigh anchor, hoist mast
Put our sails to the wind
I ain’t never been a poet
I never learned how to rhyme
But I’ve always been a sinner
And I know how to lie
Love it – thank you!
This is wonderful and all, but where the heck is letter VII?
Letters come out Monday through Friday, so I suppose that the next one is being composed in my head and, eventually (tomorrow), will be out down on paper and posted on here. ❤
I’ll be patient.
